It takes around nine seconds of movement to get to the maximum of two stacks of Perpetual Motion, which isn’t as much as you might think. It gives you a Stability, Handling, and Reload Speed buff while you’re moving. Perpetual Motion is one of the best perks to come out of the 30th Anniversary update. Instead, I’m focusing on maximum uptime, hence the inclusion of Perpetual Motion. Most of its decent options call for multiple kills to keep buffs active which is something I want to stay away from in player versus player. I struggled to build a PvP Retraced Path simply because its perk pool is incredibly light. You’re not going to find much success with this weapon in PvP, but if you’re determined to try, this is the roll I recommend. If you’re that much of a masochist, then more power to you. It would take a braver man than me to bring Retraced Path into the Crucible. You’re never going to be min/maxing this trace rifle for endgame content. Find a perk combination that you have fun with and call it a day. Retraced Path is distinctively non-meta, so don’t sweat farming a god roll for it too much. I use Enhanced Battery for its synergy with Genesis, but it’s far from mandatory. The same is sort of true for your ammo perk. I aim for more Handling, but you can use whatever you want. In terms of perks one and two, your barrel perk doesn’t matter too much at all. It’s not a combination you want to bring into something like a Grandmaster, but it will work surprisingly well in regular and Legendary content. The more ammo you have to shoot, the longer you sustain combat, meaning you get more uptime on Frenzy. Genesis will refill your mag when you break an enemy shield, and Frenzy grants you a damage buff provided you remain in combat. The only real damage-buff we have access to is Frenzy, which I’m taking advantage of with this god roll.įrenzy synergizes with Genesis deceptively well. Retraced Path God Rolls in Destiny 2 Retraced Path PvE God Rollĭespite clearly being built for PvE, Retraced Path doesn’t have much in the way of staple PvE perks. There’s no way to guarantee you get Retraced Path over the other weapons, but it shouldn’t be too hard to get your hands on a few of them. You can get the Retraced Path from playing Dares of Eternity, and out of the Xur’s chest using Treasure Keys. Retraced Path is one of the new 30th Anniversary weapons, meaning it’s obtainable in the same way as every other new weapon (not the returning ones which are exclusive to GoA). How to Get the Retraced Path in Destiny 2 The gun is a blast to use in regular PvE content, which is why I’ve decided to go over some god rolls for Retraced Path in Destiny 2. If you’re just trying to have some fun, though, you’re in for a treat. So, if you’re looking for a new weapon to bring into Trials or Grandmasters, this isn’t it. It doesn’t really have a place in the meta in both PvP and PvE, which is a shame. Retraced Path is based on the Focus Rifle from Halo, and that’s about the only thing it has going for it. We’ve finally got our first legendary trace rifle in Destiny 2 and it’s… well… not great.
